Rigor. (from the lat. rigore) n. 1. harshness; strength; 2.fig., severity; punctuality; accuracy.

There is no "more or less levelled", "more or less upright”, "more or less clean" or "more or less safe", but rather “levelled”, "upright”, "clean” and “safe". The rigour is reflected in our procedures, in time and in the rules to follow. In the light of moral and principles, being severe means being rigorous.

Under the sign of passion – a text of the Portuguese poet Regina Guimarães – is our icon. Passion is to reveal great enthusiasm for something, favourable encouragement or opposite to something.
It is the sensibility transmitted by an architect or engineer through work.

A solidary company is recognized as a fair and non-selfish company. A solidary company is a preferred choice in business. It is a more competitive company. Volunteering is a vehicle to solidarity. It is modern, fair, cultured, friend, it is a noble gesture of moral elevation.

It is a value that we must highlight as opposed to the fearful, cowardly and laziness.
The courage to react to criticism not with an attitude of demotivation or sadness, but rather to search for the means and the action to overcome its own reason. This kind of courage, which is also an intellectual courage, is highly recommended.

Responsibility. (from the lat respondere) n. the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct; a form of trustworthiness.

We must be certain that, before a choice, we chose what is best for both of us and not just the best for each one. Each employee is responsible for his negotiated activity and co-responsible if the co-worker does not fulfil his own task, thus preventing the common goal. A team is a set of individuals - is a whole. In the business game, as in social or family contexts, everyone must comply with their own relative position and we shall not permit that one of ours fails to be in our team.

Artwork that invites you to enjoy the Guadalupe Park

Correio do Minho

'Refúgio' (Haven) is the sculptural piece by Lorenzo Bordonaro, installed in Guadalupe Park, in S. Victor, which will have its doors open.

There is a new sculptural piece adorning the Guadalupe Park, in S. Victor. Designed by the artist Lorenzo Bordonaro, the sculpture is entitled 'Refúgio' (Haven), was built based on unused steel and was inspired by the cloisters of the Cathedral of Braga and the Monastery of Tibães, inviting the gathering and meditation and serving as a tourist attraction to another space in the city, which will always be open to the public.

This is yet another piece of art that zet gallery and dst make available to the community with the aim of beautifying and dignifying Braga's public space, reflecting their own values around culture and sustainability.

In the truce that yesterday the sky gave to the moment of the inauguration of the new sculpture that can now be admired in the Guadalupe Park, the President of the city council of Braga, Ricardo Rio, pointed out his “satisfaction” when seeing, thus, reaffirmed “the commitment of a company and a person with values that are very important for our society ”, said, praising José Teixeira and the dst business group.

The councilman highlighted the fact that, over the last few years, dst has been in Braga and outside Braga, “a fundamental pivot of the cultural dynamics of promoting a more sustainable community, of interaction with public authorities and society, in general, defending these values and the various initiatives that dst has developed such as literature, contemporary art - as is the case with this intervention in public space - are testimony to this and should be more replicated by many other companies and by many other citizens ”, said Ricardo Rio, highlighting the fact that the dst group has already made several assignments of art pieces that adorn the public space of Braga.

Considering the Guadalupe Park as a “haven” from the city of Braga, which many are unaware of, the mayor indicates that the sculpture brings value to the space, as was long claimed by the Parish Council of S. Victor, but that the Sisterhood of Our Lady of Guadalupe wants to see it preserved. The councilman says that this “balance” must be found in the sense that “the Guadalupe Park is enjoyed by many more people from Braga”.

In particular, this sculpture now installed in Guadalupe Park, is the result of the 'Art in Public Space & Sustainability' Award, recently launched by zet gallery and dstgroup, with the support of IB-S - Institute of Science and Innovation for Bio- Sustainability of the University of Minho (UMinho) - which was attributed to Lorenzo Bordonaro, respectively the author of the piece, made by the hand of 'Bysteel'. The artist considered the place to place the piece as “exceptional” and spoke of the inspiration he received from the city of Braga and its heritage, defining the sculpture as “a space for gathering and meditation - a place for each to rethink the relationship of human beings with Nature and the world ”.

Tiago Miranda, director of IB-S at UMinho pointed to the “values of environmental sustainability” to which the piece reports, being built based on materials that are already unusable.

"We do what we do because we have a duty of social responsibility. We are 'alterist donors' and all our actions in the city and our patronage are in the sense of seeing the result that produces this relationship ”, underlined José Teixeira, dst CEO, indicating that it is this 'revolution' that dst and zet gallery seeks to do within the community of Braga, stirring waters and teaching more fishermen 'to fish' through their own critical thinking.

António Ponte, Regional Director for Northern Culture, made a point of being present at the inauguration of the art piece 'Refúgio' (Haven) in Guadalupe Park, where he highlighted the “relevant role” that dst has played as “patrons of Culture and agent that promotes Culture in its territory and that understands its social responsibility as cultural responsibility as a way of valuing its territory and the development of the community through art and culture and sustainability ”. Looking at “cultural sustainability” with the safeguarding of the values of the past, he defended the creation of new values in contemporary times for future memory.

“The world must revolve around sustainability”

“The world of business and consumption must change and revolve around sustainability”, defends José Teixeira, dst's CEO, indicating that it is this call for individual and business 'attitude change' in favour of a more sustainable world that if you intend to do with the installation of the art piece 'Refúgio' (Haven) in Guadalupe Park.

“It is a truly spectacular work”, said José Teixeira, seeing it as a Faraday Cage (Michael Faraday's experience that demonstrated, in 1936, that there is a neutral space in an electric field) - and that, in his perspective, impels spirituality and the importance of meditation and thinking.

The inaugural moment of the art piece was used by the businessman from Braga to raise awareness, once again, of the values of sustainability.

“We must, in our relative positions, show signs of how the world has to revolve around sustainability, the world does not have the production capacity to continue with the current levels of consumption and waste. It is necessary to 'fish for fishermen', evangelize, for this purpose ”, asserted the businessman from Braga, pointing to the importance of designing“ new models ”for the future economy around sustainability. "We want to intervene in this city," said the official, looking at Braga as a Roman city but with the principles of Ancient Greece and, therefore, made a point of calling everyone to reflection through the aesthetic and artistic work dispersed in various spaces of the city, he stressed.
