Rigor. (from the lat. rigore) n. 1. harshness; strength; 2.fig., severity; punctuality; accuracy.

There is no "more or less levelled", "more or less upright”, "more or less clean" or "more or less safe", but rather “levelled”, "upright”, "clean” and “safe". The rigour is reflected in our procedures, in time and in the rules to follow. In the light of moral and principles, being severe means being rigorous.

Passion. (from the lat. passione) n. 1. intense and usually violent feeling (affection, joy, hate, etc.) which hinders the exercise of impartial logic; 2. derived from a feeling; 3. great predilection; 4. partiality; 5. great grief; immense suffering...

Under the sign of passion – a text of the Portuguese poet Regina Guimarães – is our icon. Passion is to reveal great enthusiasm for something, favourable encouragement or opposite to something.
It is the sensibility transmitted by an architect or engineer through work.
Passion is the dedication to a project. Passion is a state of warm soul.

Solidarity. (from the lat. solidare) n. 1. the quality of being solidary; 2. reciprocal responsibility among the members of a group, namely social, professional, etc.; 3. sense of sharing another’s suffering.

Being solidary is being a friend, offering our hand with genuine generosity and bringing joy and human warmth to those who, somehow, are marginalized. Being solidary is being more human. A solidary company is recognized as a fair and non-selfish company. A solidary company is a preferred choice in business. It is a more competitive company. Volunteering is a vehicle to solidarity. It is modern, fair, cultured, friend, it is a noble gesture of moral elevation.

Courage. (from the lat. coraticum) n. 1. bravery facing danger; intrepidity; to have audacity; 2. moral force before a suffering or setback; 3. [fig.] to input energy when performing a difficult task; perseverance...

Courage is essential in our life. Courage to face less pleasant situations when complex issues come up, not expecting random resolutions.
It is a value that we must highlight as opposed to the fearful, cowardly and laziness.
The courage to react to criticism not with an attitude of demotivation or sadness, but rather to search for the means and the action to overcome its own reason. This kind of courage, which is also an intellectual courage, is highly recommended.

Responsibility. (from the lat respondere) n. the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct; a form of trustworthiness.

We must be certain that, before a choice, we chose what is best for both of us and not just the best for each one. Each employee is responsible for his negotiated activity and co-responsible if the co-worker does not fulfil his own task, thus preventing the common goal. A team is a set of individuals - is a whole. In the business game, as in social or family contexts, everyone must comply with their own relative position and we shall not permit that one of ours fails to be in our team.

Noticia shair metade das obras vendidas
07/05/2014
shair premiers with half of all works sold

The shair project, launched just a month ago, has surpassed all expectations and already has over 3,000 registered users, 300 of whom are contemporary artists. The success can also be seen through the number of sales of the works put up on this innovative online platform, since, out of the 70 works on exhibition and auction on the dst emergentes gallery, about 35 have been sold through this channel, a 50% success rate. Apart from the number of works that have been sold, it should be noted that almost 100 bids were registered for the works that were sold, confirming the possibility of the value of the works going on the platform through the auction. The website itself has registered growing interest with over 250,000 page views already.

This initiative also represents an exceptional gateway for new artists to put their works on the market. Luís Tavares, a student at Oporto's Escola Superior Artística, is one of the artists who were represented at the opening exhibition and saw the value of his photographs go up from €16 to €60. The young photographer said he was quite surprised when he realised that he had got more than 30 bids for his works. "I was needing some cash and it came in really handy", he said half-joking.

The shair project, a dst group initiative, consists of an online platform where artists have to create an account and submit their works, then their works go through a pre-approval process and are assessed by the platform users and a guest jury every month. The works that are selected go into a collective exhibition at the dst emerging artist gallery in Braga and are auctioned for 30 days. In May, the ‘We Art’ art agency from Aveiro will be going through the works that they believe are good enough to go into the gallery, even if they are not the ones with the most votes.

The works that are not sold during this first month are transferred to an area where they can be purchased immediately on the website, where they continue to be on sale at a fixed price, which is the opening price given by the artists when they submitted their works. The website can be accessed via www.shairproject.com.

Opening of the second exhibition

The next exhibition of works selected from the website opens on 10 May. The most voted works are 60% of the exhibition. The other 40% were selected by António Franchini, the guest jury from last month who said "the inflow of works has become a virtual exhibition with considerable quality and creativity", and 1,200 new works have already been submitted to the network. This new exhibition includes works from foreign artists, such as Emilio Fornieles, a Spanish painter who is currently living in Berlin, but he has already presented at ARCO, one of the largest art fairs in the world.

The dst emerging artist gallery is to be open between 3 in the afternoon and 8 in the evening on the opening day of this second exhibition. Just like at the first opening day, the celebration is to continue into the night, this time at Espaço Quatorze, to the sound of Holy Nothing and Midnight.
