There is no "more or less levelled", "more or less upright”, "more or less clean" or "more or less safe", but rather “levelled”, "upright”, "clean” and “safe". The rigour is reflected in our procedures, in time and in the rules to follow. In the light of moral and principles, being severe means being rigorous.

Under the sign of passion – a text of the Portuguese poet Regina Guimarães – is our icon. Passion is to reveal great enthusiasm for something, favourable encouragement or opposite to something.
It is the sensibility transmitted by an architect or engineer through work.
Passion is the dedication to a project. Passion is a state of warm soul.
Loyalty. (from the lat. legalitate) n. the quality of being loyal; fidelity; sincerity.

A solidary company is recognized as a fair and non-selfish company. A solidary company is a preferred choice in business. It is a more competitive company. Volunteering is a vehicle to solidarity. It is a value that we must highlight as opposed to the fearful, cowardly and laziness.

Responsibility. (from the lat respondere) n. the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct; a form of trustworthiness.
We must be certain that, before a choice, we chose what is best for both of us and not just the best for each one. Each employee is responsible for his negotiated activity and co-responsible if the co-worker does not fulfil his own task, thus preventing the common goal. A team is a set of individuals - is a whole. In the business game, as in social or family contexts, everyone must comply with their own relative position and we shall not permit that one of ours fails to be in our team.

b.again, part of dst group, has been operating in Braga since March. Using dry-shredding technology, it recovers more than 95% of materials - lithium, cobalt and nickel - without relying on foreign facilities.
Portugal's first lithium battery and cell recycling plant is located in Braga and has an installed processing capacity of up to 7,000 tonnes per year, avoiding the need to rely on foreign facilities, it was announced on Wednesday.
It is b.again, part of dst group, which hosted the Electrão Open Day and whose motto is 'turning the end into a new beginning'.
'Basically, it is about making use of batteries we no longer need, but which still contain critical raw materials that will be useful in the future, to make new batteries or other advanced materials. Recovering these raw materials from batteries we no longer use and giving them value again,' explained b.again general manager João Gomes.
The executive stressed that batteries are mines, even when they no longer serve the purposes for which they were designed.
'The batteries we already have are also mines, where we can recover these critical raw materials and avoid having to rely so heavily on virgin raw materials,' he said.
b.again has a 2,000-square-metre storage area and an instant processing capacity of 500 tonnes.
João Gomes said that at b.again the materials are not burned, but recovered.
'It is a way of recovering critical raw materials to manufacture new devices, without having to dig holes in the ground,' he added.
The technology used is based on a dry mechanical shredding process, carried out at low temperature, pressure and in an inert atmosphere, enabling material recovery of more than 95%.
The recovered materials can be reintegrated into different industrial value chains, with a focus on recovering critical and strategic raw materials used to produce new batteries, contributing to a more circular and sustainable value chain.
The 7,000 tonnes the company can process each year result in around 3,500 tonnes of 'black mass', from which critical materials such as lithium, graphite, cobalt and nickel are extracted.
This extraction is carried out in France, in 'refineries' of a kind that do not yet exist in Portugal.
'In the short to medium term, we expect it to be possible to do this here as well,' João Gomes said.
At b.again, recycling of lithium cells and batteries began in March, and around 500 tonnes of material have already been received there.
The plant currently has 23 employees.
Electrão general manager Ricardo Furtado stressed that battery recycling enables the recovery of various materials and reduces the need to extract new resources, helping to reduce Europe's dependence on imported raw materials.
'The challenge is no longer just environmental. It is also strategic and economic. The more we can collect and recycle, the greater the future availability of these raw materials to support the energy and digital transitions,' he said.
The operational partnership between Electrão and b.again makes it possible to treat this waste in Portugal, reducing the need to use facilities abroad, strengthening the national recycling industry and contributing to the development of a national value chain linked to battery recycling.
b.again has specialised logistics capacity for collecting and transporting batteries throughout Portugal, including solutions suited to different battery types and safety conditions.
