Bysteel, a company specializing in the design, manufacture and assembly of steel superstructures, obtained the highest performance class certification CE mark EN1090. It is the EXC4 execution class characteristic of the most complex and demanding works where the challenge of controlling critical aspects of construction, namely structural, economic, environmental and safeguarding of human life, is of course of great importance, requiring this recognized specialization / capability.
This certification corroborates the technical capacity as well as the use of the most rigorous manufacturing processes, as demonstrated by bysteel in the constructions executed and effected by the world outside, especially in more technically demanding markets such as the United Kingdom and France.
After pioneering the implementation of the EN 1090, bysteel now joins the small group of companies that can design and manufacture the most complex and demanding structures, taking into account the tight European benchmarks in this area. This is also a fundamental step towards the consolidation of the internationalization strategy that the company has been undertaking, based on continuous growth and specialization.
Steel Design Awards
The recognition of bysteel as one of the key players in the metal construction sector is confirmed by the company's recent appointment to the European Steel Design Awards, with the Galp pedestrian and cycling bridge project in Lisbon, where it was responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of the metal structure. The European Steel Design Awards are awarded every two years by the European Convention for Construction Steelwork, and are delivered to the project owner, architects, engineers and metal mechanic of the project, with the aim of stimulating their contributions to the excellence of works.
More recently, this building was chosen as one of the ten best in the world by the prestigious Designboom website, a world reference in the universe of architecture and design (designed by architects Maximina Almeida and Telmo Cruz, and the ADF Structures’ Project - Adam Da Fonseca Consulting Engineers)
For Rodrigo Crespo de Araújo, Director of bysteel, a company belonging to dst group, the most recent certification, the nomination for the European Steel Design Awards and the recognition of one of his projects by Designboom as one of the 10 best in the world "actually represent firm and decisive steps in the company's growth process and in the strategy of internationalization that we have been following ", emphasizing that" the rigor, safety and the innovation that bysteel puts in all the works that it performs are already a distinctive factor in the national and international market ".
