Rigor. (from the lat. rigore) n. 1. harshness; strength; 2.fig., severity; punctuality; accuracy.

There is no "more or less levelled", "more or less upright”, "more or less clean" or "more or less safe", but rather “levelled”, "upright”, "clean” and “safe". The rigour is reflected in our procedures, in time and in the rules to follow. In the light of moral and principles, being severe means being rigorous.

Under the sign of passion – a text of the Portuguese poet Regina Guimarães – is our icon. Passion is to reveal great enthusiasm for something, favourable encouragement or opposite to something.
It is the sensibility transmitted by an architect or engineer through work.

Being solidary is being a friend, offering our hand with genuine generosity and bringing joy and human warmth to those who, somehow, are marginalized. Being solidary is being more human. A solidary company is recognized as a fair and non-selfish company. A solidary company is a preferred choice in business. It is a more competitive company. Volunteering is a vehicle to solidarity. It is modern, fair, cultured, friend, it is a noble gesture of moral elevation.

Courage. (from the lat. coraticum) n. 1. bravery facing danger; intrepidity; to have audacity; 2. moral force before a suffering or setback; 3. [fig.] to input energy when performing a difficult task; perseverance...

Courage is essential in our life. Courage to face less pleasant situations when complex issues come up, not expecting random resolutions.
It is a value that we must highlight as opposed to the fearful, cowardly and laziness.
The courage to react to criticism not with an attitude of demotivation or sadness, but rather to search for the means and the action to overcome its own reason. This kind of courage, which is also an intellectual courage, is highly recommended.

Responsibility. (from the lat respondere) n. the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct; a form of trustworthiness.

We must be certain that, before a choice, we chose what is best for both of us and not just the best for each one. Each employee is responsible for his negotiated activity and co-responsible if the co-worker does not fulfil his own task, thus preventing the common goal. A team is a set of individuals - is a whole. In the business game, as in social or family contexts, everyone must comply with their own relative position and we shall not permit that one of ours fails to be in our team.

cari rehabilitates centuries-old property in downtown Lisbon

Living in the heart of Lisbon is an ever closer dream. The urban rehabilitation of buildings in the historic area of the capital affords unique spaces where quality of and refinement go hand-in-hand in buildings where old-style features merge with the requirements of contemporary life. The building Cordon 31, situated right in the heart of the Chiado, to be precise at Rua Vítor Cordon, is a good example of this effort to rehabilitate buildings, endowing them with finishes of excellence.

Promoted by Stone Capital, this project derives from a total investment of 2.1 million Euros and it is being undertaken by cari, a dst group company specialised in building rehabilitation. Refurbishment works' contracts such as the Chancellery of Oporto University, the Castreja Culture Museum or the Santa Marinha Inn, both in Guimarães, bear testimony to the quality of the services rendered by cari in this area, regarded as a nerve centre of the development of civil construction in Portugal. For José Teixeira, chairman of the Board of Directors of the dst group, this project “duly enriches the cari portfolio, concurrently strengthening our position as one of the reference companies in the field of urban rehabilitation”, also stressing that “the change in paradigm on the construction market in Portugal led us from early on to understand that the rehabilitation would become a business area where we would have to demonstrate all our commitment, know-how and craftsmanship associated with innovative processes”.

Vítor Cordon 31 – luxury right in the heart of the Pombaline downtown

Comprising ten family dwellings ranging from 1-bedroomed to 4-bedroomed Duplex, the building Cordon 31 extends for an area of 2100 square metres and promises to surprise thanks to the solutions it finds to design high-quality dwellings. The 4-bedroom dwellings are situated on the top floor and habitable roof, with each of them boasting a terrace that affords a panoramic view over the River Tagus. For cooler days, all the rooms boast stonemasonry fireplaces, recovered from the original building with tiling which is also recovered, creating a cosy aesthetic contrast with the more rigid, white lines of the rest of the interior design. In the building hallway the stone arches and flooring will be recovered, also made of stone block, lending a touch of class visible right at the entrance.

In the common areas the project foresees a panoramic lift shaft with totally glazed walls, thereby allowing a unique contrast between modern lines and the construction elements present in the space for more than two centuries. Moreover, as there is a need to rebuild all of the interior, maintaining the façades and main support walls, a light metallic - and also wooden - structural solution was adopted, thereby abandoning the standard reinforced concrete structure. Essential for those living in the heart of Lisbon is self-evidently the parking. The building at Rua Vítor Cordon 31 boasts indoor parking using raising platforms, a luxury additional benefit right in the heart of Chiado.
