Rigor. (from the lat. rigore) n. 1. harshness; strength; 2.fig., severity; punctuality; accuracy.

There is no "more or less levelled", "more or less upright”, "more or less clean" or "more or less safe", but rather “levelled”, "upright”, "clean” and “safe". The rigour is reflected in our procedures, in time and in the rules to follow. In the light of moral and principles, being severe means being rigorous.

Passion. (from the lat. passione) n. 1. intense and usually violent feeling (affection, joy, hate, etc.) which hinders the exercise of impartial logic; 2. derived from a feeling; 3. great predilection; 4. partiality; 5. great grief; immense suffering...

Under the sign of passion – a text of the Portuguese poet Regina Guimarães – is our icon. Passion is to reveal great enthusiasm for something, favourable encouragement or opposite to something.
It is the sensibility transmitted by an architect or engineer through work.
Passion is the dedication to a project. Passion is a state of warm soul.

Solidarity. (from the lat. solidare) n. 1. the quality of being solidary; 2. reciprocal responsibility among the members of a group, namely social, professional, etc.; 3. sense of sharing another’s suffering.

Being solidary is being a friend, offering our hand with genuine generosity and bringing joy and human warmth to those who, somehow, are marginalized. Being solidary is being more human. A solidary company is recognized as a fair and non-selfish company. A solidary company is a preferred choice in business. It is a more competitive company. Volunteering is a vehicle to solidarity. It is modern, fair, cultured, friend, it is a noble gesture of moral elevation.

Courage. (from the lat. coraticum) n. 1. bravery facing danger; intrepidity; to have audacity; 2. moral force before a suffering or setback; 3. [fig.] to input energy when performing a difficult task; perseverance...

Courage is essential in our life. Courage to face less pleasant situations when complex issues come up, not expecting random resolutions.
It is a value that we must highlight as opposed to the fearful, cowardly and laziness.
The courage to react to criticism not with an attitude of demotivation or sadness, but rather to search for the means and the action to overcome its own reason. This kind of courage, which is also an intellectual courage, is highly recommended.

Responsibility. (from the lat respondere) n. the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct; a form of trustworthiness.

We must be certain that, before a choice, we chose what is best for both of us and not just the best for each one. Each employee is responsible for his negotiated activity and co-responsible if the co-worker does not fulfil his own task, thus preventing the common goal. A team is a set of individuals - is a whole. In the business game, as in social or family contexts, everyone must comply with their own relative position and we shall not permit that one of ours fails to be in our team.

City of Braga wins three new works of art

The zet gallery offers artistic productions to enhance public spaces. The dst group has already ceded 11 works of art to the city of Braga.

The zet gallery, a contemporary art project of the dst group, ceded three new works of art to the city of Braga, in addition to the eight works of art previously ceded by the dst group to the city over the past few years, fulfilling their commitment of enhancing to enhancing public spaces.

One of the most emblematic pieces, now available in public space for free fruition, is the work "Teresa.", by the consecrated British artist Julian Opie. Ceded to InvestBraga, without any cost to the Municipality, the work of art was designed and conceived to be placed at the entry of the Altice Forum Braga, perfectly in tune with the city, symbolizing a female figure in perpetual movement. With this masterpiece, Barnes becomes the first city in the country to display an artistic creation of Julian Opien in a public space, an artist with some of the most important contemporary art collections in the world.

In addition to "Teresa.", the zet gallery strengthened its artwork portfolio, with pieces that can be enjoyed free of charge in public areas of the city, ceding two of the five works of art that were created over the past 15 days in the city centre, under the "ART&SUSTAINABILITY" Symposium, promoted by that dst group gallery. One of them is the "Open Windows" (2018), designed by the young artist Miguel Neves Oliveira, which is displayed at the Bretas Roundabout, in Fraião. From a five-metre long iron cylinder that came from the dst group’s industrial waste yard, the artist, born in Oliveira de Azeméis, transformed a tube once closed into a piece open to the world, breathable, in an urgent call for awareness of sustainability.

The other work of art is a creation by Rute Rosas, and is located at the Ponte Park. Using iron plates and sustainable led lighting, to which were added the elements earth, turf, and paint, the artist created "From Time, in Space, a bridge, an appeal. With or without you" (2018)".

These artistic productions and others are scattered throughout the city, and can be contemplated without opening hours, following the mission that the zet gallery persists in carrying on: art for all.

With these initiatives, the group insists on a two-dimensional message. The first, according to José Teixeira, President of the Board of Directors of the dst group, is "the importance of art in public space, so it can be seen by the public and have a positive influence on the use of public space, art as aesthetic power and therapy". The other, he continued, "is that the economy and the companies, depending on their bet in culture in order to become competitive, must participate in the investment made by the cities in cultural promotion, either in projects related to the arts, music, theatre, dance, and literature ".

The zet gallery, a project of the dstgroup shareholders, is a digital platform for the dissemination of contemporary art with physical headquarters in the centre of Braga.

The gallery's programming is multidisciplinary, and aims at the democratisation, both to artists and collectors, in the access to the art market. The profiles of over 300 national and international represented artists can be visited at www.zet.gallery
