dte ends the year 2015 with a turnover greater than 30 million euros

dte special facilities, sa, a company which is part of the dst group, ended 2015 with a turnover of around 30 million euros, representing an increase in turnover of about 25% compared to the previous year. It’s a result anchored in the completion of large projects, such as the Poetas Park in Oeiras, the new headquarters of Lidl supermarkets in Sintra and the Carvoeiro WTP in Aveiro. The conquest of new national and international projects also contributed to the success of one of the companies of reference in the area of special facilities in the year 2015, namely the rehabilitation of the former CTT building in Lisbon, the second phase of the Fortissue paper mill in Viana do Castelo, the work of the Roxo / Sado hydraulic circuit, the Rectory of the Catholic University in Luanda and a hypermarket in Talatona, Angola.

dte was responsible for the electrical installations of the exterior and interior spaces as well as the heating, ventilation and air conditioning facilities of the underlying buildings in Poetas Parka total area of 22.5 hectares, located in one of the most noble areas of the county of Oeiras. More than an urban park with great landscape quality, technical requirements and architectural rigor, it is a place where you can breathe poetry and can be considered an "open-air museum". The new headquarters of Lidl was an important undertaking due to the fact that it is a project where all the latest technology was used and had a very strict deadline of only five months. The Carvoeiro WTP, a water treatment plant, supplying water to six municipalities of Baixo Vouga, represents another completed project and contributed to the company's portfolio in the area of hydro mechanical and hydraulic installations.

As far as new projects are concerned, the rehabilitation project of the former CTT building is a project that provides for the construction of 104 apartments and 15 commercial spaces. It is a building with five floors and more than 12 thousand square meters of gross floor area. The project is named Lisbon 8 Building and dte was responsible for its electricity, telecommunications, security and HVAC facilities. As for the second phase of the construction of the paper mill Fortissue, this project was a challenge as it had a very short and ambitious implementation period.

Another project worth mentioning was the contract for the construction of the Roxo / Sado Hydraulic Circuit, under the responsibility of EDIA, a project that enabled dte's presence to be strengthened in the business area of electric and hydro-mechanical infrastructures.

At an international level, we should like to highlight the contractual awarding of the Rectory of the Catholic University in Luanda and a hypermarket in Talatona, two reference projects of high relevance currently underway in Angola, thus reinforcing the presence of dte in that territory.

According to José Teixeira, chairman of the dst group's Board of Directors, “these results represent the success of the strategy that we have followed in recent years, immersed in an adverse economic situation that has been felt with particular incidence on the civil construction sector and in our ability to respond to the challenges that our customers have challenged us with. The know-how and innovation we put into all of our work, as well as the scrupulous fulfillment of the required deadlines, make dte one of the key players of the sector, which makes us proud but also makes us responsible for future challenges", he concluded.
