A team is a set of individuals - is a whole. In the business game, as in social or family contexts, everyone must comply with their own relative position and we shall not permit that one of ours fails to be in our team.

The “building will also include a canteen and bar, a health unit, fitness area and various spaces for common use, designed to meet the academic, social and well-being needs of students.”
Quoted in the press release, the head of the IPVC, Carlos Rodrigues, stated that the project “is a clear commitment to the quality of student living conditions and to a functional, accessible and inclusive accommodation model. This is a work which will have an enormous impact on the academic life of our students.”
“It is not just about accommodation but creating an actual environment offering well-being, security and integration for those who choose to study at IPVC. The Praia Norte residence represents a new paradigm for university life and reinforces our public mission to guarantee equal opportunities of access to higher education,” he emphasised.
With “the construction of the Praia Norte residence, along with the new residence in Valença (56 beds), the adaptation of the former Prado Primary School in Melgaço (21 beds) and the refurbishment of the former Youth Hostel building in the same municipality (38 beds), IPVC’s offer is close to doubling compared to its current volume.”
“This is not an isolated investment. It is part of a consistent plan that covers the entire area where the IPVC is present. We want to ensure that no student is left behind due to a lack of decent accommodation or due to economic reasons. We are committed to sustainable solutions that are close by, well-equipped and accessible,” the head of the IPVC added.
At the same time, “the renovation of the Academic Centre residence (132 beds) is underway and is scheduled for completion in September of this year.”
At the "end of June, work also began on the refurbishment of the residence of the School of Agriculture (ESA), in Ponte de Lima (137 beds), followed by the residence of the School of Education (ESE), with 119 beds, also in Viana do Castelo”.
“This substantial increase in our accommodation capacity reflects the IPVC’s commitment to territorial cohesion, the fight against inequalities in access to higher education and the enhancement of the regions where it is located. Creating affordable, comfortable accommodation that is integrated within local dynamics is a strategic priority for the institution, which is thus pursuing its public mission of ensuring quality higher education with a strong regional impact,” emphasised Carlos Rodrigues.
With more than 5,800 students, the IPVC has six schools spread across the Viana do Castelo district - Education, Technology and Management, Agriculture, Nursing, Business Sciences, Sports and Leisure - offering 28 bachelor’s degrees, 40 master’s degrees, 34 CTESP and other vocational training courses.
