Solidarity. (from the lat. solidare) n. 1. the quality of being solidary; 2. reciprocal responsibility among the members of a group, namely social, professional, etc.; 3. sense of sharing another’s suffering.
Being solidary is being a friend, offering our hand with genuine generosity and bringing joy and human warmth to those who, somehow, are marginalized. Being solidary is being more human. A solidary company is recognized as a fair and non-selfish company. A solidary company is a preferred choice in business. It is a more competitive company. Volunteering is a vehicle to solidarity. It is modern, fair, cultured, friend, it is a noble gesture of moral elevation.

Courage is essential in our life. Courage to face less pleasant situations when complex issues come up, not expecting random resolutions.
It is a value that we must highlight as opposed to the fearful, cowardly and laziness.
The courage to react to criticism not with an attitude of demotivation or sadness, but rather to search for the means and the action to overcome its own reason. This kind of courage, which is also an intellectual courage, is highly recommended.

Multiplex optical fibre will be accessible to more than 8,700 buildings in the Trás-os-Montes region, serving around 32,600 families in this part of the country, it was announced today.
This expansion, according to dstelecom, will serve the municipalities of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, in the district of Vila Real, and Macedo de Cavaleiros, Alfândega da Fé Mogadouro, in the district of Bragança, in an operation that is expected to be completed by the end of October.
“We are offering a robust and neutral infrastructure that allows citizens and companies, even in remote areas, to enjoy the same digital resources that exist in large urban centres. Our goal is clear: to contribute to a country that is more cohesive, more competitive and better prepared for the digital future,” stated Ricardo Salgado, the CEO of dstelecom, as quoted in the press release.
According to the Braga-based company, with this expansion, around 32,600 families in the region will be able to access high-speed internet services, which will reduce digital asymmetries and promote equal opportunities in their access to technology,” stated the telecoms company.
According to the company, in Vila Pouca de Aguiar, the infrastructure will also be significantly extended, reaching parishes that until now had no coverage, such as Tresminas and the Combined Parishes of Pensalvos and Parada de Monteiros, and reinforce the service in places such as Alvão, Bragado and Capeludos.
“In total, more than 1,500 new homes will be connected, which will make it possible to achieve 96% fibre coverage in the municipality,” he added.
In Macedo de Cavaleiros, places such as Bagueixe, Chacim, Morais, Podence and twelve other parishes hitherto excluded from the fibre network will be integrated within that network. There will be more than 4,500 new homes with access to this infrastructure, in a municipality that will now have 86 per cent coverage.
“Service will also be strengthened in the areas of Amendoeira, Sezulfe and the capital of the district”, he emphasised.
For Alfândega da Fé, the operation represents a real digital transformation in the municipality.
"Until now, only two parishes had fibre-optic coverage. With the connection of 2,100 new homes, the “dstelecom” network will now cover all the parishes in the municipality, bringing coverage to 98 per cent," explained the technology company.
In the case of Mogadouro, the expansion operation will cover 660 new homes, which will allow the municipality to see its coverage rise to 70%, with new connections in Castro Vicente, Meirinhos and Valverde, with a focus on extending connectivity outside urban centres.
The dstelecom network has also ensured that it will allow residents to choose freely between different telecoms operators, fostering competition and ensuring best prices and a greater diversity of services.
